About Mishack Raphalalani |
Mishack was born in 1950 at Tshakhuma, Venda. Mr Raphalalani is a teacher working at the Department of Education as a State Herald and also as an Archivist.
After completion of his Primary Teaching Course, Mr Raphalalani spent one pear at the Ndaleni Educational Training School, Natal, studying art teaching methods.
His works primarily in wood and occasionally in stone sculpting human figures. He is also a painter and graphic artist representing social realistic themes, religious symbols and history depicting current and stone age incidents.
In 1986 the South African Government selected a series of his works of art to be the subject of a set of postage stamps depicting the Venda Culture.
His works of art was exhibited various galleries and museums including the following:
